| | group of individuals who were committed to my vision of
improving health in the Treme and surrounding area. As a social
worker, I worked for many years with individuals and families
impacted by HIV and AIDS. Living in Treme, on a daily basis I
have seen the challenges that people, good people, caring people,
hard working people, face. I have witnessed what HIV and other
health issues are doing to the community I love. There are lots of
reasons but no excuses for our silence around some of these
problems. I really believe we are in this together. It is my
profound hope that together we can improve the quality of life
for our families, friends and neighbors. There is a lot of work to
do. We suffer from years of history but let it not be said that
when we had the opportunity to make a difference we did
nothing. I thank you for your support and trust. I welcome you if
you are in need of our services. I invite you to join with the
Board of Directors and me as we make a difference because we
truly are In This Together.
